I know it’s been a while since I last posted but I have been busy experimenting with new things, none of which I’m ready to share at the moment. However, I got some good news a few weeks ago. The Woodstock Artists Museum is giving me a solo show in May. I’m furiously working on new paintings and drawings and the image here is the first new painting for that show.
Tilly and I walk along the High Falls nearly every day. Five minutes from our house it’s always interesting, noisy in a good way, and sometimes if there’s been a lot of rain, a bit frightening. The Falls flow into the Rondout Creek which can run high and fast if the Falls are at their peak. Wading is unadvised.
I don’t know if the foxes living in the rocks are a new development or just something I’ve been oblivious of before now but this year we’ve seen many foxes and kits. Here you see the Falls running wild, the rock walls along the creek with several foxes watching you from their dens, and a glimpse of the neighborhood at the top in the distance. I hope those dark clouds in the east will blow over. We’ve had plenty of rain already.
